Renewable energy used in transport, mainly biofuels and renewable electricity, as a percentage of the energy consumed in transport.

Calculated under the Renewable Energy Directive (Eurostat SHARES tool), which normalises hydro and wind output and counts some biofuels and renewable electricity in transport more than once. Not comparable with renewable shares published by the IEA or the US EIA.
