Questions
What counts as a call?
One tool call or one data request: a value, series, comparison, ranking, search, place lookup, revision history, place profile or release calendar query. A calculation or a past vintage costs the same as the plain figure, and a claim check costs one call per 5 claims. Calls rejected for invalid input, unknown places or missing data are not charged, and calls that return BIS figures are free, as the BIS terms require.
What happens at the limit?
If you have prepaid credits they are used. Otherwise calls return a clear quota error until the next month or an upgrade.
Do alerts use calls?
No. Creating, changing and listing alerts, and the emails, webhooks and feed entries they send, are not counted. Alert management is limited to 60 requests a minute per account.
Can my team share a plan?
Yes, on every plan, Free included. Create a team in your dashboard and invite people by email. Members are free and unlimited, use the owner's plan and draw on one shared allowance, and the owner sees each member's calls. Teams can also sign in with their own identity provider over OpenID Connect.
Can I cancel?
Yes, from the billing portal. The plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
