Definition
Monthly average annual interest rate on new euro loans to non-financial corporations of up to €250,000, excluding revolving loans, overdrafts and credit-card debt.
New agreements include renegotiations. Rates are weighted by the amounts agreed during the month and are distinct from the ECB composite rates that use moving-average weights. Annualised agreed rates or narrowly defined effective rates (AAR/NDER) cover interest and exclude fees and other charges. Household figures include non-profit institutions serving households. Corporations are non-financial companies. The euro area aggregate has changing membership. Country histories vary and missing values are not filled.
