Friuli-Venezia Giulia had the highest road deaths per million inhabitants of 21 regions in 2021, at 69 per million inhabitants. Valle d’Aosta/Vallée d’Aoste had the lowest, at 8 per million inhabitants. The median was 51 per million inhabitants and the figure for Italy was 49 per million inhabitants.
