About this ranking

Average price of natural gas paid by household consumers with an annual consumption of 20 to 199 GJ (band D2, the median band), all taxes and levies included, in euros per kWh of gross calorific value.

Piped natural gas for the home, not motor fuel. Cyprus and Malta have no household gas network, and Finland publishes no household values. A separate series from natural_gas_price_residential, the US price from the Energy Information Administration.

Every value in the ranking comes from the same publisher and the same period, so the EU countries are compared on one definition. Equal values share a rank.
