About this ranking
Average annual gross wage per full-time equivalent employee in the whole economy, in US dollars at constant prices and purchasing power parities for private consumption of the OECD's current base year. The OECD divides the national accounts wage bill by the average number of employees and converts the result to full-time equivalents with usual weekly hours.
A mean, not a median, so high earners pull it up. The OECD moves the price base forward each year and restates every past year, so values change when a new base is published; the source title names the base year.
Every value in the ranking comes from the same publisher and the same period, so the countries are compared on one definition. 1 countries with data in other periods have no value for 2024 and are left out rather than filled from another source. Equal values share a rank.
