The value of private construction put in place for office buildings, including general and professional offices, administration buildings, computer centers, and radio, television, and motion-picture offices. Census classifies office buildings at manufacturing sites as manufacturing construction.

Monthly value of private office construction put in place, in current U.S. dollars. Census publishes the seasonally adjusted series at an annual rate and in millions of dollars; the annual rate is not a forecast and the estimates are not adjusted for price changes. Office construction at manufacturing sites is classified as manufacturing. The private office total includes detailed office categories such as data centers and financial buildings, so do not add those subcategories to the office total. The current month is preliminary and may be revised.
