Monthly index of the contractors' selling prices, without value-added taxes, of new single, semi-detached and row houses (house and land) whose specifications stay the same between two periods, with December 2016 equal to 100. Statistics Canada New Housing Price Index, Table 18-10-0205-01, for Canada and the ten provinces.

Covers new houses only, not resales or condominium apartments, so it is not comparable with house_price_index_2015 (Eurostat, all dwellings) or the other house price indexes. Index levels with different bases cannot be compared.
