Rankings

Definition

Dry natural gas produced in the year, after the liquids are removed at processing plants, in billion cubic feet, from the U.S. Energy Information Administration International Energy Statistics.

One billion cubic feet is about 28.3 million cubic metres. US states are served as marketed production (natural_gas_marketed_production), which is larger because it still contains the liquids. EIA International Energy Statistics, compiled by EIA from national statistics and other reports. Countries that no longer exist (the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, East and West Germany) have no current ISO code and are not served; their successors start when EIA starts them.
