GDP is counted where production happens and population where people live, so places with many commuters or capital-intensive industries, such as the District of Columbia or oil counties, show very high values. Other countries and the World: World Bank, converted at official annual average exchange rates (market rates, not purchasing power parity, so it understates living standards in lower-price countries). For euros use gdp_per_capita.
