People who are not citizens of an EU country and lodged an application for international protection for the first time in the reporting country during the month (Eurostat migr_asyappctzm).
Eurostat rounds the figures to the nearest 5. Repeat applications by the same person are excluded. The EU figure is the headline Eurostat publishes each month.
