Borrowed from family or friends, adults
Percentage of respondents aged 15 and over who borrowed money from family, relatives or friends in the past 12 months.
Global Findex survey estimates for people aged 15 and over, or the named subgroup. Percentages use all respondents in that population, not only savers, borrowers or account owners. Only published survey years are stored; no values are interpolated or carried forward. The 2025 edition reports 2024 fieldwork. Some earlier-wave surveys were conducted in 2022; the publisher year labels are retained. In 2024, account and debit-card ownership were asked more widely than other financial-use questions, so available years vary by measure and economy. Survey coverage and questions can change between waves.
