About this ranking
Pharmacists per 10,000 population (ISCO-08 code 2262), as reported to WHO's National Health Workforce Accounts, divided by the national population. Depending on the country's source, the count covers practising pharmacists only or all registered pharmacists.
Pharmacy technicians and assistants are not counted. WHO revises these series, past years included, when new national reports or estimates come in, so values can change between retrievals.
Every value in the ranking comes from the same publisher and the same period, so the countries are compared on one definition. 62 countries with data in other periods have no value for 2022 and are left out rather than filled from another source. Equal values share a rank.
