About this ranking

Household disposable income per person in euros at current prices, from the County Incomes and Regional GDP accounts of the Central Statistics Office of Ireland: total household income (compensation of employees, self-employment income, rent of dwellings including the imputed rent of owner-occupiers, net interest and dividends, social benefits and other current transfers) minus current taxes on income and social insurance contributions, divided by the population of the area.

Ireland only: the State, its 26 counties and its NUTS 2 and NUTS 3 regions. No consumption of fixed capital is deducted, so it is not the net measure in household_disposable_income_per_capita (Eurostat, B6N, NUTS 2 only). It is far more even across counties than GDP per person, which multinational profits inflate in Dublin, Cork and the Mid-West. County populations are CSO estimates carried forward from regional changes between censuses.

Every value in the ranking comes from the same publisher and the same period, so the areas are compared on one definition. Equal values share a rank.
