White ethnic group share (England and Wales census)
Usual residents who identify with the high-level "White" ethnic group, as a percentage of all usual residents, from the Census 2021 of England and Wales (table TS021, Office for National Statistics). People choose the group themselves. Regions of England, Wales and local authorities in England and Wales.
One of the five high-level groups of the census question, which add up to 100. It covers White British and White Irish people, Gypsy or Irish Travellers, Roma and other White backgrounds, so it is not the same as White British. The UK classification differs from US race and Hispanic origin categories, so it is not comparable with asian_share, black_share or white_non_hispanic_share. Scotland and Northern Ireland ran their own censuses with other categories and are not included.
