Interest rate on new consumer loans
Monthly average interest rate on new bank loans to households and non-profit institutions serving households for consumption, in percent per year. It excludes revolving loans, overdrafts and credit-card debt.
Annualised agreed rates or narrowly defined effective rates (AAR/NDER) exclude fees and other charges. New agreements are weighted by their size within the month. This is not the moving-average composite used for housing and business borrowing. The euro area aggregate has changing membership. Coverage varies by country; the Netherlands has no observations from 2003 in this series. Values may be revised.
