# EU countries by greenhouse gas emissions, 2024

All 27 values come from Eurostat, European Commission for 2024, so the places are comparable.

- Indicator id: `ghg_emissions_total`
- Unit: million tonnes of CO2 equivalent
- Definition: Total greenhouse gas emissions in million tonnes of CO2 equivalent: carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and fluorinated gases, including indirect CO2.
