# EU countries by greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture, 2024

All 27 values come from Eurostat, European Commission for 2024, so the places are comparable.

- Indicator id: `ghg_emissions_agriculture`
- Unit: million tonnes of CO2 equivalent
- Definition: Greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture: livestock digestion, manure, agricultural soils, rice, liming and urea (UNFCCC category 3). Fuel burned by farm machinery is counted under energy, in million tonnes of CO2 equivalent. National inventory reported to the UNFCCC (and, for EU members, to the EU): the seven Kyoto gases weighted by their 100-year global warming potential. Land use, land use change and forestry (LULUCF) and international aviation and shipping are not included.
