- Note: Spain only: the country from January 2000 and the 17 comunidades autónomas, Ceuta and Melilla from January 2005. Not adjusted for seasonal or calendar effects, so December is the highest month every year and February usually the lowest; compare a month with the same month a year earlier. For EU countries use retail_sales_volume_index_total (Eurostat), which is seasonally adjusted.
