# Household spending in Australia on miscellaneous goods and services, monthly, seasonally adjusted

Monthly household spending on miscellaneous goods and services, in millions of Australian dollars at current prices, seasonally adjusted, for Australia and the eight states and territories. ABS Monthly Household Spending Indicator (dataflow HSI_M). The ABS builds it mainly from de-identified bank transaction data, benchmarked to household final consumption expenditure in the national accounts, so it is not a sample survey. Categories follow the national accounts purposes (COICOP based); discretionary and non-discretionary are ABS groupings of them.
